About the Position:
The Dog Groomer is an integral position at Scenthound, offering dog first knowledge and providing trimming services to customers.
This Dog Groomer position requires:
- At least one year of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school
- Knowledge of dog behavior, care standards, and tool and equipment handling
- Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment
Who We Are Looking For:
We are searching for a confident dog groomer who loves to work with dogs! We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, perceptive, patient, empathetic adaptable, and a compassionate team player to join our team! An individual with a take charge attitude, and an interest in all things leadership and training is a plus!
Tasks
- Trim to Scenthound standards
- Focused on functional trims, our 5 types of haircuts consist of one length all-over with a neat face
- Create an environment conducive to learning, open communication, and teamwork
- Identify when/ where help is needed and provide assistance to keep Scenter on schedule
- Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times
- Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning best practices
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager

Compensation: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
