Who We Are Looking For  
Scenthound is not your everyday dog grooming shop. We are a revolutionary concept disrupting an outdated industry, focused on the dog’s overall health and wellness, not only haircuts! Our membership-based business model allows dogs to receive routine maintenance and consistent care. 

As the assistant manager, you will effectively be running your own small business. You will be managing the team, interacting with & serving customers, and managing revenue and cost budgets alongside the area manager.
 
We are looking for a confident leader who is great with people, hardworking, and willing to learn. A successful assistant manager will be capable of managing operations of the store to Key Performance Indicators, while also willing to roll up their sleeves and help out wherever is needed. We are looking for someone who is an independent problem solver, adaptable, detail-oriented, and loves dogs! 
 
Tasks:
  • Maintain a knowledgeable team that prioritizes dog wellness and safety
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship for the store employees
  • Uphold quality standards through hands-on participation, employee audits, and training 
  • Promptly and accurately communicate information from upper management to your team 
  • Identify when/ where help is needed and provide assistance to keep Scenter on schedule 
  • Create an environment conducive to teamwork, open communication, and Scenthound values
  • Manage client expectations; Resolve customer concerns
  • Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times
This position requires: 
  • Management experience
  • Customer service experience (retail, restaurant)
  • Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Ability to work Saturdays

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
