Business is booming at Scenthound and we're currently hiring for a Manager who leads by example and embraces new challenges. A successful Scenthound Manager is an independent problem solver, adaptable, detail-oriented, and a compassionate dog lover! We are looking for a HANDS-ON leader who will assist in training employees, respond to customer service needs, and model appropriate behaviors in the store. This role provides leadership through building a culture of recognition while motivating the team with the goal of operational excellence. As a membership-based business, the ability to close sales is a vital part of this role, and the ideal candidate will have prior sales experience in retail or service-related fields. Bilingual English & Spanish preferred, but not necessary.

About the Position
The Scenter Manager is a critical position at Scenthound Herriman. As a Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and running your Scenter efficiently while developing your team and ensuring safe, thorough services for all dogs in your care. We are a new, fast growing brand. We are seeking a passionate who wants to grow with us and is not afraid to get hands on with dogs! This position requires:
- Management experience in retail, restaurant or service related industries preferred.
- MINUMUM 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN DOG CARE, VETERINARY, OR GROOMING INDUSTRY REQUIRED.
- Service or retail sales experience
- Ability to provide the Basic Hygiene Services to dogs when the schedule demands
- Customer service experience (retail, restaurant)
- Experience in a membership-based business model is a plus
- Proven ability to build an excellent store experience
- Prior sales experience preferred (1 year+)
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
- Computer/technology proficiency
Tasks:
- Instructs, trains, coaches, and develops staff.
- Analyze and drive store financials and Key Performance Indicators such as Labor Efficiency Ratio, Average Ticket Price, Rebook Ratio
- Sell memberships to walk-in customers
- Drive membership sales through dog health and wellness education
- Maintain a knowledgeable team that prioritizes dog wellness and safety
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship for the Scenter employees
- Drive employee development through leadership and training
- Uphold quality standards through hands-on participation, employee audits, and training
- Create an environment conducive to teamwork, open communication, and Scenthound values
- Manage client expectations; Resolve customer concerns
- Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times
- Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices
This position has an annual salary of $47,000 annually with an additional $8,400 in bonus potential. Training may occur at one or more of the locations below.
