About the Position:
This role is an integral position at Scenthound, offering expert grooming knowledge, and providing haircuts and related grooming services.
Qualifications
- At least one year of dog grooming/trimming experience.
- Knowledge of dog breeds, care standards, and tools of the trade
- Effective communication with team members and dog parents
- Problem-solving skills
- Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
- Reliable transportation
Who We Are Looking For:
We are searching for a confident dog professional who has a passion to care for the health and wellbeing of dogs! A successful Dog Groomer/Trimmer is perceptive, patient, adaptable, compassionate, and knowledgeable of how best to care for dogs' skin, coat, ears, nails, and teeth.
Tasks
- Provide haircuts and other grooming services that adhere to Scenthound standards
- Support an environment conducive to learning, open communication, and teamwork
- Identify when and where help is needed and provide assistance to keep Scenter on schedule
- Prioritize the safety of dogs and team members at all times
- Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Lead Groomer/Trimmer and/or Scenter Manager
Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
