Position Summary
The Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring Scenthound Scenters consistently execute brand standards through a balance of training facilitation, field coaching, and operational performance reviews. This role partners closely with Franchisees and Scenter leadership to support operational excellence while also conducting structured audits to objectively evaluate adherence to Scenthound brand standards.
This position requires a strong blend of training expertise, operational insight, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. A successful Operations Specialist is comfortable learning and observing real-time procedures, documenting findings accurately, delivering clear and actionable feedback, and supporting corrective action when gaps are identified.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Evaluation & Compliance
- Conduct scheduled and reactionary compliance audits in Scenters
- Evaluate daily operations and objectively assess execution against brand standards
- Document findings clearly and accurately, including written feedback and photo documentation
- Identify operational risks, repeat gaps, and trends across locations
- Deliver clear, respectful, and action-oriented feedback to Franchisees and leadership teams
- Ensure corrective actions and follow-up plans are clearly defined and communicated
- Escalate critical safety or compliance concerns in alignment with internal protocols
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate records of field visits, audit results, and training outcomes
- Analyze audit and field data to identify system-wide opportunities for improvement
- Share insights with internal teams to inform training updates, operational enhancements, and performance initiatives
- Stay current on Scenthound processes, systems, tools, and Learning & Development best practices
- Document and analyze best practices from field experts
Operational Support
- Facilitate in-person and virtual training for Franchise Owners, Managers, and Scenter teams
- Support new Scenter openings through on-site and remote training and readiness support
- Reinforce Scenthound brand standards, safety protocols, and operational best practices
- Evaluate training effectiveness and identify gaps requiring additional coaching or resources
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in training, coaching, field operations, or performance support roles
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to document findings accurately and thoroughly
- Comfort delivering direct feedback and holding others accountable to standards
- Ability to objectively assess operations while maintaining strong franchise relationships
- Willingness to travel up to 75%
- Comfortable handling all dog breeds and sizes
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must live in relative proximity to a Scenthound location
Preferred Experience
- Franchise or multi-unit operational experience
- Experience conducting audits, assessments, and performance reviews
- Field training, store openings, or site-visit experience
- Exposure to quality assurance, compliance, or operational standards enforcement

Compensation: $65,000.00 per year
